The news that has had theatre land talking this week includes


Come From Away to tour the UK



With it’s West End run only having a few weeks left, it has been announced that the hit musical Come From Away will be embarking on a UK Tour, might there’s quite a wait for it.

The tour will begin in Leicester in February 2024 with more dates to be announced in due course.

Full Casting announced for West End run of The Great British Bake Off Musical

Full casting has been announced for the west end run of the Great British Bake Off Musical.

Joining the previously announced John Own Jones, Scott Paige, Claire Moore, Charlotte Wakefield, Damian Humbley, Catrina Sandison, Jay Saighal, Michael Cahill and Aharon Raynor will be Zoe Birkett, Haydn Gwynn, Grace Mouat, Georgie Westall, Stuart Hickey and Jamie Abbasi.

Anna Shah, Amelie Rouse and Maisy Mein will share the child role of Lily.

Life of Pi to tour the UK

It has been announced that Life of Pi will be setting off of its first UK Tour next year.

It will open at the Sheffield Lyceum in August 2023 before visiting Milton Keynes, Norwich, Southend, Cardiff, Canterbury, Bradford, Chichester, Salford, Bristol, Newcastle, Brighton, Birmingham, Belfast, Dublin, Plymouth, Leicester, Hull, Coventry, Nottingham, Wolverhampton, Liverpool, Shrewsbury, Southampton, Cheltenham, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Leeds and Northampton.

The Wizard of Oz to run in London

After receiving rave reviews at the Leicester Curve, Nikolai Foster’s new production of The Wizard of Oz is coming to London.

It will run at the London Palladium for a summer season from 23 June 2023, with casting to be announced.

Crazy for You to transfer to London

It has been announced that Crazy For You, recently seen at the Chichester Festival Theatre, will transfer into the West End, calling the Gillian Lynne Theatre home.

Just as in Chichester, it will be led by Charlie Stemp as Bobby, with Carly Anderson as Polly and Tom Edden as Bela Zangler. Further casting to be announced.

It will open on 24 June for a 30 week season.
